Todd Bingham, the driving instructor behind Confident Driving Academy, needed more than a pretty website. He needed a site that could help shoulder the load of running his small business solo.
When Todd decided to open his own driving school, he was an experienced instructor with lots of ideas about what he didn’t want to do. At the top of the ‘NO’ list was building a website that looked or worked like his competitors’ clunky multi-page websites.
As a tiny, one-person business, we knew Todd would have a lot on his plate. Registering students, conducting classes, fielding calls from anxious parents, not to mention getting behind the wheel with teen drivers (yikes!).
We built in a simple, budget-friendly registration form to start off with. It allows Todd to take payments, deliver waivers for signing, and collect info for parent and emergency contacts. When bookings increase to the point he’s outgrown the form, we can replace it with an embedded scheduling solution with zero downtime.
It’s worth noting that, as with all our one-pagers, we didn’t just hit Publish on the Drive CDA site and walk away. Even though it’s just a single page, the site is powered by WordPress. Meaning it requires regular software updates, backups, and someone to keep a watch out for hackers. As a Site Care client, we take care of it all.
Well into its second year, Drive CDA looks and works as well as the day it launched. With zero worries for Todd.
Except, of course, the whole driving with teenagers thing 😉
I run a single instructor driving school and was hoping for a working website that would not only minimize the time I spend on administrative tasks but would also allow parents to handle the entire registration process in one step! Oh, did I mention, I also needed this on a small business friendly budget?
For the past couple of years, I have worked with Teresa at A Fearless Venture, and I could not have asked for a better experience.
