What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Forms

When you fill out a form on this site, whether it’s to sign up to receive e-mails, purchase services, respond to a survey or get in touch with us, we ask only for information relevant to the specific task. In some cases such as a survey or poll, no personal information is collected. If you wish to work with us or purchase products or service we offer, we will ask for your name, e-mail address, payment information and details about your project.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how A Fearless Venture is used, and use it only to improve this site.

Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site. No personally identifying information is collected, nor do we combine Google Analytics data with any personally identifiable information.

Google Analytics stores a permanent cookie in your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit our site; the cookie can’t be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to this site by disabling cookies on your browser.

Who we share your data with

If you request our assistance with any third-party service (e.g., website hosting, plugins, themes), we will share any information required to complete the work on your behalf. We won’t share your personal information without informing you of the service/company name, service or product they’re providing and specific information we’ll share.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained as long as the comment is displayed on our site.

If you purchase a product or service or send an inquiry via this website, we will retain the information you provide indefinitely. This is so we can ensure we have a complete understanding of your needs and available resources when we work with you or contact you.

What rights you have over your data

If you have done business with us or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, tax or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

If you opt in to receiving e-mail from us, your first name and e-mail address will be stored in our subscribers database at BirdSend. Read BirdSend’s privacy policy here.

If you request a service that requires an invoice, your information will be stored with Plutio. You can read Plutio’s privacy policy here.

If you request a service requiring payment, your payment information will be shared with either Stripe or PayPal, depending upon your payment method. Credit cards are processed by Stripe; read their privacy policy here. PayPal’s privacy policy can be found here.

How we protect your data

This entire website, including forms used to collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), is encrypted and transmitted to us securely. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only A Fearless Venture has access to personally identifiable information.
